THE BISHOP AREA CLIMBERS’ COALITION SUPPORTS THE community AND CLIMBING AREAS OF THE EASTERN SIERRA THROUGH STEWARDSHIP, EDUCATION, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.
Organization Goals
Act as a unified body representing climbers in the Bishop, California area to respond to regional issues affecting climbers and local climbing areas and;
Engage with the community of Bishop, California, strengthening bonds between both local climbers and the resident non-climbing population, through events, fundraisers, and public outreach, and;
Assist in the maintenance and conservation of Bishop, California’s climbing landscapes through stewardship, volunteerism, and maintaining strong relationships with local land management agencies, and;
Contribute to the education of local and visiting climbers through outreach and individual engagement focused on climbing etiquette, cultural awareness, local conditions, gym-to-crag, camping, and proper utilization of public recreational assets.
