Who We Are
The Bishop Area Climbers Coalition supports the community and climbing areas of the Eastern Sierra through stewardship, education, and community engagement. We are a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Our Goals
Act as a unified body representing climbers in the Bishop, California area to respond to regional issues affecting climbers and local climbing areas.
Engage with the community of Bishop, California, strengthening bonds between both local climbers and the resident non-climbing population, through events, fundraisers, and public outreach.
Assist in the maintenance and conservation of Bishop, California’s climbing landscapes through stewardship, volunteerism, and maintaining strong relationships with local land management agencies.
Contribute to the education of local and visiting climbers through outreach and individual engagement focused on climbing etiquette, cultural awareness, local conditions, gym-to-crag, camping, and proper utilization of public recreational assets.
