Pine Creek Porta-Potties

These porta-potties are a convenient and necessary service, especially because there are no other responsible options for those in need at Pine Creek Canyon besides packing out your waste in a WAG bag. Since 2016, a large private donation has funded the placement and maintenance of the Pine Creek porta-potties from May to October each year. But here's the thing - the funds are running low. 

Historically, we’ve had two porta-potties in Pine Creek, with weekly service for $389/month. However, in 2024, due to low funds, we chose to have one porta-potty with weekly service at $197/month.  With the help of donations and fundraising, the BACC will pay just under $2,000 to maintain a single porta-potty for the entire climbing season 

Education

We’ve created an interesting and engaging tabling set-up when we go to local events to chat with climbers and community members on how to lessen their impact on Public Lands and handed out our classic “We Care Where You Go” stickers, WAG bags, and other goodies.

Community Building

The BACC hosts community events like Bowling, Movie Nights, and Climbing Trivia to help foster community within the local climbing community.

Stewardship

Donations support BACC stewardship events. Past events include: Russian Thistle removal, trail maintenance projects, community cleanups, and more. Donations help the BACC purchase the necessary equipment for these projects. Check out our volunteer sign-up page to get involved in future events!
